Reflection
The Text to Web Remediation project was such an amazing project to be done. Converting a text format essay to a whole website about the topic of the essay was a great experience.

In this website, I remediated my essay on global crisis titled "Is Taliban a Global Crisis". Making a website about the topic was challenging yet a fun project. I got to learn a lot of new things about the way of presentation of a topic in a different way. There have been addition of different text extract in this website including what I wrote in the argument essay. This website includes a "Timeline" tab which has all the happenings and ongoings about the Taliban which is an additional resource added in the website ton provide the readers an insight about the terrorist organization discussed thoroughly in my essay.

This topic was chosen for the essay and the website as terrorism isa global crisis and is affecting the world at some point of time. This website is all about the topic I chose and will be targeting all the people who read, as there is no primary or secondary audience when it comes to a global crisis. Everyone gets affected by a global crisis one way or the other, so dividing audiences among primary and secondary will not be appropriate. During the remediation process, there were a couple of things that I addressed which helped me shape a better interface of the website that will be useful for the readers too. Some of them being- a proper display in the menu about the page itself, no ambiguity in there extract and content of the website which is going to give, the readers, an amazing experience while browsing and reading in the website. There have been additions and removals while remediating the essay into the website. I could not add everything from the essay as I would have made the readers bored of the content and also could have made the website a mess. The language used in the website is a bit different than the one in the argument essay. I have done this because, people prefer to read online rather than reading regular texts, also the language used in the website is a bit easy than in the essay so that people find it easy to read and understand. Told above, is that I added a timeline in the website too. While looking for the source I chose to look for the ones which are from certified publishers, reliable and trustworthy newspapers and media because the information that is being provided must be true, relevant and correct.

This website does not have any secondary audience. All the audience, who are going to visit this site will be the primary audience as the topic of global crisis, as its name suggests, is for the whole globe, meaning that it is for each and every person living on this globe. So categorizing the audience as primary and secondary will not be a good decision, and neither will be relevant dividing the website would be.

Designing a website is a good method to present something to a large population because the painted media can only reach to an extent and to a limited amount of people but the web media or the online media can reach uptown millions and billions of people all over the globe making the website, a more feasible way to present a work. A well designed website will provide the audience with a lot of information will be useful for some and informative for many. This media of presenting a work through a website is better in presenting messages and content as there are a lot of sources that can be used in a website rather than in a print medium. There were many changes in the process of remediation of the argument essay into the remediation website. Information was added as well as deducted from the essay as adding everything in the website from the essay would have been ambiguous and irrelevant. I added some informations that are very much informative and explanatory, like the timeline tab and the 9/11 video, which will give an insight on the attack and what all happened un the past 20 years.

Considering all the factors, it can be said that the websites that are informative, nicely edited, not ambiguous, contains limited information rather than having things that might not be required, has visual medias, is considered to be the one which the readers will like.
